Storyliving by Disney
Throughout the world, large master-planned communities are being developed with new and innovative sustainable technologies. This demand has been described as an “Eco-Awakening” by the World Economic Forum. Consumers are much more conscious about their appreciation of nature, and their desire to make sure that this nature can likewise be appreciated by future generations. Disney has grasped onto this eco-trend and has started developing new resort-style communities1. These communities are built around large turquoise lagoons with patented technology by Crystal Lagoons. The lagoons can be filled once and then refilled through the rain. The water is cleansed using Ultrasonic pulses that use 100 times fewer chemicals than traditional swimming pools, and filtration systems that use only 2% of the electricity allowing them to easily be powered through solar panels.

These blue lagoons can be found in dozens of exotic travel destinations around the world such as Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Dubai, and Florida. The first “Story Living by Disney” community will be in Palm Springs, California. This exciting and innovative technological marvel will soon be in Guanacaste. Nya will be the first community in Costa Rica with an 8.6-acre clear turquoise lagoon by Crystal Lagoons. The pristine lagoon is powered by the sun with solar technology and features seven white sand beaches, an island, and four marinas perfect for sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a variety of water sports. There is also an Eco-Canyon, featuring beautiful waterfalls and trails perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and other adventures.

Recently, Costa Rica President Rodrigo Chaves, Vice President Stephan Brunner and Minister of Tourism Gustavo Alvarado attended the inauguration ceremony to support the development team and assist in creating jobs for Guanacaste. According to John Scheman, president of the group, the first stage of this vertical construction would begin at the end of 2022 and would generate 800 new jobs, 500 directly and 300 indirectly. Nya creates boundless new opportunities for investors, business owners, and people simply looking to enjoy beachfront living with stunning turquoise lagoon views. Construction has started and we are excited to see all of the new jobs and opportunities that this new community brings to Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
